The National Day of Silence brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Each year the event has grown, now with hundreds of thousands of students coming together to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior.

this song is called just speak out and its for all those people who for what ever reason, cant tell us what there goin through and to let them know there are those who will speak out for them.

Raise your voice
Say it now
Speak for those
Who cant speak out
In every nation
Under the sun
A cry goes out
For change to come

Raise your voice
Say it now
Speak for those
Who cant speak out
The right to be
To live your life
For some this comes
With a price

No longer suppressed
With no voice to speak out
Now we give voice to those
And we shout it out loud
Taken and beaten
This hate has to stop
To many have died
And we haven?t forgot

The right of all people
To be who they are
Is a god given right
From him not man
For many years
Change has been made
But there are still those
Who are afraid

They live there lives
Always in fear
They cant speak out
For who will hear
Now we must stand
Its time we all rise
Stop living in hate
And open our eyes

Raise your voice
Say it now
Speak for those
Who cant speak out
In every nation
Under the sun
A cry goes out
For change to come

Raise your voice
Say it now
Speak for those
Who cant speak out
The right to love
And to be free
To be who you are
To say this is me

Now hear the voices
Of those who now rise
They speak out for change
And now open your eyes
Its not a crime
just to love differently
It?s the right of all people
Is this so hard to believe

Love is a blessing
don?t live life in hate
Let live and let love and
don?t discriminate
We are one people
We all have a right
To love who we chose
And live a free life

Its not hard to see
That change has to come
So that we can move on
All people as one
It starts with on step
We open our eyes
And listen to those
Who send out there cries

There will be those
Who stand in your way
But changes must happen
And must come someday

Now here the voices
That speak out with pride
They speak out for those
Who are having to hide
No one faces judgement
until judgement day
We must end this hatred
And end it today

It?s the right to find love
And to not have to hide
To be able to be yourself
And show what?s inside
in a world where we?re trying
To make a better place
We must have equality
For the whole human race

Raise your voice
Say it now
Speak for those
Who cant speak out
In every nation
Under the sun
A cry goes out
For change to come

when i read this blog, it touched a nerve, sometimes when things happen we find it hard to know what to do, this can be cos we're afraid to speak out in case we become a target too, but sometimes i think you have to speak out, so this is my way of trying to get people to see that there are somethings we cant close our eyes too. im gonna be posting a video of these lyrics soon so please take a look at it and help us to help others who cant speak out
